The MAC Makerspace is an innovation and entrepreneurship facility that includes a makerspace for prototyping and fabrication as well as a full spectrum of resources for individuals, artist, organizers, & small businesses to reach their potential. This
space is open to the public to encourage all members of the community to practice and creatively invent throughout their life through continuous skill building, entrepreneurial pursuits, and personal projects.
The MAC Makerspace provides training, workshops, and studio access to develop skills, connect eorts, & build momentum. We are for the individual running a business out of their kitchen, the creative who is one tool short from creating their next masterpiece,
or the organization looking to connect its members to the skills of the future.
The MAC Makerspace is open Monday - Friday from 9am - 4pm. Special accommodations for evenings and weekends can be made with advanced notice.
Yes! Open shop hours are for all who are interested, regardless of skill level. All workshops are open to the public & free of charge to members of Homewood and Wilkinsburg.
We are currently experimenting with strategies to ensure a sustainable future. Currently, access is free of charge. However, you will need to provide your own raw materials.
Any age, any group! We are more than happy to accommodate and work with organizers to create programs and activities for your group.
Yes! To ensure safety, you must pass a comprehension test to use the equipment independently. Otherwise, you will be limited to supervised use. Should you desire training, we will work with you one-on-one to train you. While you can pay for training,
we also offer a work exchange through our Learn & Lead program.

Children under 13 have limited access to certain equipment. But, if necessary will are more than happy to prepare any materials that may require such use.
Yes! The majority of our workshops are ran 6pm - 8pm. Training, workshops, and access can always be arranged if needed.
