New CMI Fellow - Michael Russo

Michael Russo has been selected to be the new Center for Medical Innovation fellow and is replacing his friend Rey Ravi. He will be responsible for the CMI’s social media content, website, and outreach activities. Before coming to Pittsburgh, Michael attended Drexel University and studied biomedical engineering and business administration, and is now enrolled in the University of Pittsburgh’s Medical Product Engineering master’s program. Michael’s past and current projects involve software engineering, computer vision, and assistive technologies/devices. He is currently working with Rey and two other UPitt classmates on a surgical navigation software startup.
