The Mining Engineering Certificate program is scheduled to end in 2017/2018.  Students currently enrolled in the program will be allowed to complete their course work over the next several terms. Please see the course schedule for a listing of classes to be offered in the future.  No new mining engineering certificate candidates will be accepted into the program.

The Swanson School of Engineering: A Partner in Mining Engineering Education

The aim of the mining engineering program is to provide current University of Pittsburgh students as well as other professionals in the region an opportunity to learn more about the minerals industries (mining, gas, etc.) and explore their many facets.

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering currently offers the certificate to current undergraduate, graduate, and post-baccalaureate students. Please explore the links to the left to learn more about the program.
